When my sons went to America --
ten years of silence.

You might ask if I was lonely.

I had thirteen cats
who played in the yard for me.

And birds came to the yard
and sang to me.

And I would like awake
and listen to the cars go by
to the center, to the bars
and later, listen to the cars go back.

There were a lot on Monday
a lot on Tuesday
a lot on Wednesday
a lot on Thursday
a lot on Friday . . .
